Birmingham civil justice centre issues note as to consent applications to vary directions

HHJ McKenna has published the note applicable to consent applications in the Birmingham Courts to vary directions.

Applies where;

  • Parties agree to the terms of the order sought.

  • Have complied with directions thus far.

  • The hearing date would not be affected.


  • Cover letter must:

  • Be headed to make clear that the application is to vary existing direction by consent and seek referral to one of the nominated District Judges: District Judge Lumb or District Judge Musgrave.

  • Confirm that no hearing date will be affected.
